I am posting this because the thieves that stole this stuff are contacting dog people trying to sell my stuff to them. On 2-26-2012, my dual axle trailer with 4 hole Ainely topper, Honda Rancher AT 4 wheeler, and all my training equipment was stolen from the La Quinta Inn parking lot in Balch Springs, Tx.
Today I get a call from a good friend in Southeast Dallas where he was contacted by someone who had been approached by someone trying to sell them 6 Tritronics Remotes and 2 transmitters for $150! Yes, in my topper was 6 remotes and 2 transmitters, along with 6 GU wingers, 4 Tritronics e-collars with two Transmitters, 48 Avery birds, 36 3" white bumpers, 36 2" orange bumpers, a bunch of hand tools, an 18 volt impact wrench with batteries and impact sockets, 2 fold up chairs, leads, pinch collars, tons of first aid stuff, 12 volt diehard marine battery, dual pro on-board battery charger, 1000 watt converter. This is just the stuff I remember. If anyone in the Southeast Dallas, Seagoville, Balch Springs area is contacted about buying any of this stuff, please contact me.

Thank God I only took one dog with me and she was in the room with me.

If you can get your serial numbers from TT have the police add that to the report and have the items entered as stolen property. You'd be surprised how that ends up getting stuff back. I would also let the person assigned your case know that the items are being offered for sale in that area.

Really very sorry. I am so greatful your dog was with you. Not to worry I would be dollars to doughnuts that these "brilliant" criminals will screw up and get caught. With the value of everything are they not looking at a felony?

Just kidding, of course. Glad to hear there were no dogs in there. Really sorry to hear this happened and hope these scumbags get what they deserve.

On a related note, I was training at a state park in MI a couple weeks ago. We were all parked on the road and running dogs on the other side of the trees when we heard a vehicle stop on the road. By the time we got out to the road, the car had sped off. That's when we discovered they had gone in one of the guys truck cab and stolen his Tri-Tronics collar and transmitter off the front seat. Luckily, all the dogs were safe and sound. Now we lock everything up when we leave the vehicles... Pretty sad, really.

Had a friend that had a bunch of stuff stolen last year from a motel parking lot. They broke into a bunch of trucks the same night. Are we seeing a trend here?. is someone following the trials/tests? Do we need to take turns on patrol at the motel lots?

That really sucks, someone broke in to 9 dog trucks at missouri river club trial. They stoled 2 shotguns and phone from me. I think it was a hotel setup.

Go on EE. smart thieves target their victims ,and if they enter a lot at $75 per entry, they ain't driving Yugos .Go to the classified , see what the equipment sells for ,and they get a quick schooling on dog economics 101.I 'm waiting to see the next trend - hitting the homes when owners at an event . It is a cruel world . I tell folks to avoid FB postings about upcoming trips of any kind .Can't avoid the EE thing unless the program security is changed I guess

Some times you wonder how bad people need money if their children are hungry if they need medical assistance or gas money. I don't know the OP but I can only imagine just like anyone on this site that if that were the case all they would need to do is ask. I wouldnt give them money for nothing but I'm sure I need my truck washed or some marks thrown or something. There is always something to be done other than theiving. Be it desperation or just greed, theft is wrong and a no one wins. I am sorry for your loss and I am sorry our society has gotten to this point.

If folks remember the dog truck that was stolen 3+ years ago from a Walmart parking lot in Rockwall with the guys dog in it, the chop shop was being operated next door to my daughters house (2 exits from your hotel) and when the police raided the place, my daughter called me at 1AM to tell me the truck and dog I had mentioned to her was next door.

Scumbags for sure.

It was a bad deal Janet. I was there. Saw Steve that morning. Couldn't believe what took place. So fortunate Steve's 1 dog was in the room with him.
