but unfortunatly I wont get to run any this year. My doctor has me on lots of rest and by that point in my pregnancy will more then likely be on bed rest due to some complications I am having. I wont be able to do the hunt tests this year so will have to try next year with my golden girl.

Thanks for all the help and advice I got you all are great.

Jana-

Good luck w/ your pregnancy. Your dog will wait & be just as good (or better!) next year. Just do what your doctor tells you & here's to a healthy baby!!

That's too bad but it'll be way worth it! There will be plenty of time for hunt test next year. Give your golden a snuggle from me! Is the morning sickness getting better? I hope so!

Carrie nope it is still full swing although I do have some days that are better so that is good LOL but for the most part it is still pretty bad. I am feeling a little better overall then I did early on but think that is due to being on high blood pressure meds for my heart issues (I found out I have some issues even without being pregnant that I never knew I had until I got pregnant) and have been going up to the University of Washington and being monitored close by them and my doctor. I will be really happy come July when the baby is born and I know that all is fine with the baby and me.

I will give her a hug she is such a good girl and I know she is going to do great with the baby she loves kids. She is kind bumbed that we have had such horriable weather that I just dont feel like training in so she is kinda being put on hold till the weather gets better for some more training issues.

I am looking forward to being able to run her next year though and I know that one more year wont hurt she is only just turned 2 so no biggy we will go for them next year or this fall maybe if there are still any running after I have the baby.

Best of wishes and prayers for a very happy and healthy baby -- you're right a year is nothing especially when it comes to having a future bird thrower/handler/trainer

JLK, sometimes, our decisions are made for us,which means for anyone with half a brain in their head, there is no decision. You play the hand that life has dealt you. Most often it wll come up four aces. Wishing you well.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I agree that you deal with the hand that life deals you. I dont mind loosing a year my baby will be well worth that year off just a little dissapointed as I was really looking forward to finally getting her out. I have done all her training myself and she is my pride and joy. She isnt just a hunting dog but is a wonderful family pet and does obedience (will be doing that next year also) , rally will do a couple this year as it isnt too intence. She is super smart and I am hoping to someday have her OTCH, Master hunter, the highest Rally title forget now what it is LOL and then some agility and possiably tracking titles. She is a great little dog and I cant imagine not having her. I picked her out at just 3 weeks old and brought her home at 7 weeks old and started her training that same day.

Here is a picture I took of her not too long ago.

So good to hear from you, Jana!

Just do what you have to for the moment!! In the big picture, that is all it will be...a very short time to take extra good care of yourself and your baby :)

And to think you have the company of a wonderful Golden Retriever through all this!! She would not want to be elsewhere..keeping you and the baby company is her very special "job" for right now..!!

Thank you for posting the beautiful pictures ..she really is just gorgeous!

.. she will not forget her training that you have so carefully done with her since the day she arrived :) ..will be all the more eager to train when the time comes..

Best Wishes and hope you keep us "posted"!! :)
