Not field related, but Ryder earned his CD title back in December (4/4 with a first, two seconds and a third) and I wanted to share some of the prints I recently received from the photographer. Granted it's just his CD, he's my first competitive obedience dog and I wanted something with a little more meaning than the ribbons (which honestly, are sitting in a cardboard box). I choose the photos and the photographer came up with a beautiful collage and fade composite. He looks great, me...not so much, but we had a great time and they captured his personality to a tee!

I should have put his second place ribbon and trophy alongside his title awards in the photo, but at least I know for next time.

Very nice pics, he seems pretty young from the pics, now old is he? My wife just asked yesterday if she and the kids can enter our dogs in obed & canine good citizen events.

It's not "just" a CD-especially with placements. If you haven't yet-read "What is a Title Really?". It sums it up best. Congrats and the pictures are wonderful.

Chelsey, those are just wonderful photos. You should be very proud of yourself! What do you mean just a CD? To heck with that,......

If you get out and train a bit more with Scott Parker you will be able to add MH to that list sooner than later.

Keep up the great work!

Thank you. He turned two years old in November.

I know, we are getting there. Even after a bit of traveling with me he came out and ran a beautiful TT pattern, so he started swim-by this week...so far, so good. The Lardy seminar is certainly paying off ;)

And the CDX exercises are so much more fun than the CD ones! Designed for a retriever! So on to the next title!

He is ready for Open, but we have some fine-tuning before he debuts. I honestly wasn't sure if I wanted to continue with Ob, but the Open exercises are much more engaging and as long as he's having fun, we'll keep doing it. Your Billy has quite the initials!
