So I've heard both side of the deal, my CLM is about 2 1/2 years old. He is a great dog and has a lot of drive, but i have the issues with him trying to get on my 2 BLF's. The trainer I have him at now says that the only negative of not having it done is the possibility of testicular cancer.... but then i have heard the other side of the story, that the will lose his drive, and forget all of his training.... What is the real story, and what have y'all had FIRST HAND experiences with???

Thanks

Never had one lose drive, actually turned a couple of pretty annoying males into much better workers. Have seen it put a little extra weight on some dogs, but I think that has more to do with owners giving too many cookies, to compensate for those sad brown eyes (LOL) ;).

Our first hand experience - neutered our high drive guy at 2 1/2 and he's still high drive, fit and no changes in his personality.
