For those of you who train in Belle Chasse on Barrire RD., We have been burdened for a while with a 7Ft. unwanted guest. We no longer have to worry. Feel free to send your dogs into the waters again!

Someone finally got Fred!
I was wondering if he survived Katrina. I haven't seen him in about 1.5 years, about the time I moved to Cajun Country.

What time is dinner?

Ive been considering coming down there to visit. I'm only 6' but would like to know how do I get on the wanted guest list? I don't want to get on that "unwanted" guest list. HPW

The meat is as good as a younger gator but the hides aren't worth as much.

Most Gator Farms harvest them at 4 foot(3 years old) because of the price and demand from the tanneries.

Meat wise, most of the meat is on the tail. Great for frying or anything else. The meat is also deboned off the legs and used is sauce piquants, sausage and gumbos.

Best gator I've ever eaten was a combination gator and turtle soup prepared using a recipe from Galitore's Restaurant in New Orleans.

Mr. Booty,

Do you have a place around Lafayette you train? I am looking for a water location to work our two dogs.

Kevin, I've sent you a PM.

I see that you live in New Iberia.
For such a small town, there are at least
5 hardcore Field Trialers and a slew of
Hunt Testers that live in da Berry.

Send me your email address an I'll get
you information on the new Big O Field Trial Club
based in Lafayette. We have an AKC Licensed trial
coming up this Fall.

You gonna eat that?
I wish! It was taken by a neusciance (spelling??) hunter after contacting La. Wildlife and Fisheries. The pond we train at during the week backs up to a neighborhood. we had them remove it for the safety of the community.
