I use the long ones on my golden and the short ones for the chessie. If you dog has a thin coat, shorts will be fine.

I mainly use the short contacts. Every now and then I have a dog that requires the long ones. Use whatever works for your dog.

Having said that, a Tritronics rep, who was a guest speaker at our club meeting, said use the long ones. He went on to say the short ones were a public relations move to keep people from rebelling against the use of ecollars. Or something like that.

Long - why risk missing a correction - timing is everything.

Long ones. Don't want to miss a timely correction.
