I just moved to Memphis, Tennessee from Wisconsin and my MH lab hurt his rear leg somehow. He won't put any weight on it and I need to take him to a vet. Any recommendations for one in the Memphis area that is experienced in treating competitive dogs? I live on Mud Island. Any help is appreciated.

There are good vets in Memphis and a rehab facility yet the names escape me.
if I had a competitive lab needing attention in the area I d go see Lee Payne at the Oxford Animal clinic in Oxford Miss. ( about 1 hr from you) Lee has competitive labs , has many clients that have nice dogs.
lee is also a great repro guy and I have one with him now for breeding and I m 3 hours away
Good luck

David is correct regarding Lee Payne. Very good vet.

Cory Fisher is who I take dogs to for Ortho or major surgical issues, 901-498-9661. That's who Lee Payne will send you to. MVS is OK for what it is, but I would only go there in an emergency.
