Qual:

1- #16 Moody's Medicine Man - "Doc" - Ray Voigt
2- #24 "Ty" - Seth Steenburgen
3- #17 "Rebel" - Wayne Curtis
4- #6 Southland Rusty Nail - "Rusty"- Paul Sletten (I'll let JusticeDog fill in the details on this choconut)

'Someone' walked off with my program (no names ) , so I'm a little fuzzier on the Jams, but the ones I do recall: Dave Ward with a golden (RJ, I think?), Rory Horneck, JusticeDog's Niki, and my Babe.

(I know I'm leaving someone out, I didn't jot the Jams down fast enough so I'm sorrysorrysorry in advance for the omission!)

Also, Mac Dubose won the Open with Roz, which also gives her the FC and AFC titles. And she's a Tiger/Zinger daughter, which has to make this achievement even more special for the Dubose's.

And I just heard that Bob Johnson and Weezer won the Am! That's terrific. Bob and Weezer are a great team, he trains diligently with Andy and Seth, but runs Weezer himself. (And he's one helluva crossword puzzle team partner too. :) :) )

JusticeDog's Niki,
Yes, it was nice to have 100% of my dogs entered in the ribbons. And choconut? Oh Lydia. He's just a very sweet boy who is mis-understood at times. And STOP telling him he's chocolate. I'm going to break it to him when he's older. :D But he's got desire and bottom. And Paul is turning him into the dog I knew he could be.

He certainly was flying high!

Congrats to Bob & Wheezer. Dick Dallasassee took 2nd in the Am... good for Dick. Charlie Hays and Lynn DuBose took the other two placements.

and my Babe.
Jeff has been doing a good job handling with Lydia helping him "navigate" (kinda like Jeff's driving) :D . This was his fourth Qual, and he's been in the ribbons about every weekend with one dog or the other.

congrats to Jeff & lydia who are getting their feet wet in a hurry running field trials!

"My" puppy Shock -- who was the most adorable and sweetest puppy ever, no lie -- jam'd his 2nd open with Paul Sletten. He's owned by John Stracka and he's just turning three. I'm so excited. He was the most adorable little thing ever. I wish I could see him again...

Kristie - if I think of it, or Lydia thinks of it, maybe we can send you a picture. He's turning into a dog, from the way it looks!

That's great. I brought him and a couple of his brothers on my summer trip to WI in 2003. He was just so loveable. And a hard little worker, first one to swim. And with a little cowlick on his nose... Just a super little puppy. I'm excited he's doing well.

If you saw what his map-reading skills are like, especially when driving, you'd know why it's easier to 'coach' him before he walks to the line.... Thankgod he doesn't have to refer to Rand-McNally when he does surgery... :p

I think the water level is much higher than the feet....and rising.....

(we're very lucky to have such gooddawgs...forgiving and resilient. Well, actually that goes for the people we train with as well....)
