Hi,

LRCBG is having our first Hunt Test April 28/29 at High Ridge Wildlife Management Area In Gardner, MA.

Any one in that erea know if the water is water yet? We have a few areas that are starting to open up but mostly still icy.

I just check EE and the entries are very low. I know every holds off till the last minute to enter. I was wondering if they knew something I didn't.

Thanks for any imput you have.

Hi Pattie-

I was in Belchertown training (but running someone elses dog!) 2 weeks ago & water was water. Actually a really nice day. I think water should be fine in a couple weeks. I've always run that test in the past & it hasn't been a problem. I won't be running, but may drive down to work. Good luck & have fun!!

Thanks for the info.

Ya water was fine last year but we were in RI. This is the first time we have been in MA this early.

I will not be running a dog but have friends that are considering Master. We have one little bitty corner of a pond that the dogs were in yesterday but nothing is really open yet.

Now we have about 3 inches of snow and more to come on Sunday.

Gotta Luv New England.

Pattie,
I am not making that test this year. I will be down south training in NC and running an HRC test that weekend in SC. If it had been warmer earlier I would have stayed home and run it.

Good luck to your friends, water will be cold, not hard but cold.

"water will be cold, not hard but cold?"

Oh No!!!!! I am running a "fluffy dog"

Seriously, I have not seen the water at Gardner yet, but was there training last week-end and the fields are (were) clear and beautiful. I don't think there will be any ice and temps should warm up soon....right???

Well I am not sure what will happen down in MA but we are getting hit Sunday night into Monday morning with another storm.

I could do with 8 weeks of spring.

I hope it all works out well for the test. Hopefuly Mother Nature will be on our side.

See you there! Looks like I am running... ..a Lab! She's yellow, so didn't want anyone to think Finn was shaved while in TX
