From what I've read, it doesn't mention anything about the number of "US" dawgs at all????? So I voted NONE I didn't read the whole thing. I just skimmed over the parts that I thought might contain that info.......

After finding 2 other links in the report I found this.
http://www.irishfieldsports.com/usteam/

Sorry but I had to add this, a pretty bold statement!!!!

The team is a nice representation of the retriever scene in America and includes "Drake" the mascot of the North American waterfowl organisation Ducks Unlimited.

and why does this surprise anyone, it's "His" team, "his" baby and he is a breeder/importer/trainer of retrievers from the UK. I wish them luck.

You did title this one correctly, "more sour grapes..." IMHO, you are just giving him publicity that you don't want him to have and you are doing it when he is out of pocket and unable to defend himself...just doesn't feel right to me Andr?...feels like Sour grapes.

I am not defending him...not that he needs or wants my defense, but I do think he has a right to defend himself...but I think you are hurt by what happened and lashing out at him, I'd wager that other than Andr?, there were less than 5 people on this board (UK members excluded) that knew this was the week that they were to go over there and none of us would have given him a second thought or visited that website if you hadn't given him the attention.

It's about time to move on in your life Andre. I don't think that you are going to make yourself feel any better by picking at Mike Stewart, it sounds more like a last act of desperation than a "matter of fact" trivia question. Would you really expect a man that makes his living selling and training british dogs and going to a british trial to assemble a team full of American dogs trained with American methods? I wish you were still going, I thought your dog would do well and you really work well as a team, but thats an old story. The big deal about the trial is not the nationality of the dogs going, it's the nationality of the handlers and the fact that Americans are going to be able to represent themselves in the UK arena.

There is a novice handler with some competition experience, one owner/handler of an American Labrador currently competing in the American Kennel Club (AKC) hunt test circuit

Only thing that I have to say about this is, on their website they state; The second trainer from the US, specialising in Am. AKC competition.

It should read; The second trainer from the US, specialising in Am. AKC retriever testing.

No, it is a bumper exhibition.

UK Field Trials are conducted during the hunting season and all birds are freshly shot. They have some very nice looking Labs and Goldens.
