Charles,
I worry about your avatar. I noticed that you are from Marshall. Do you know Reps biddy from Jeferson
 I don't know Reps, but he has a cool name. The avatar is not me. It's a friend that I caught in a compromising position.

Exporting, ha. Importing, is no picnic either. My word, public liability!!!!

I am so looking forward to catching up with you and yours, next weekend. Second biggest trial of the year.

I am pumped up.

Does that mean, because my dogs are working so well now, they will fail, when it really counts?

launcher

Jerry Day, who is a sponsor on this site, has a new multi-bird launcher that is much smaller than anything pictured previously.

The launcher can throw live birds as well!

Call Dogs Afield and get the scoop...very nice piece of equipment!

Multi - launcher, Most innovating device ever developed

Thanks for the plug keeth;
Invented by dog trainers for dog trainers.
Comming Very Soon:
Dog's Afield is introducing the most innovative training device ever developed. It is the (Duck Quadtro)tm cannon with 4 barrels. "Patent Pending" It will launch Ducks, live or dead, or any other type birds, bumpers and dokkens. You can even put 2 birds/bumpers in one barrel for a 2 simultaneous throw.
It is aprox. 26" wide x 38' tall x 7'thick. weight 48lbs with 2 wheels. There is no mechanical moving parts, rubber tubing or pullies to brake. It is co2 powered and will activate with Tri-tronics or Dogtra. Simple to operate, all you do is drop items to be retrieved in the 4 tubes and you are ready. Even a cave man can load it.
I demo'ed it at the SRS event last week and the review was great. The range of throw is from 10 to 40+ yrds. depending on the angle and pressure setting.
This launcher has been quietly in development and testing for the last 2 years. It is fully warrented and the first 15 orders will receive a $400. discount and personalised. Price after 1st 15 is $3200.00
I will be demo'ing it again tomorrow at the OLD South Hunt Test.
I will have photos & video on the Dog's Afield site in a couple of weeks. for more info. please call me.

Jerry,

This sounds pretty cool. Post up some pictures... I can't wait 2 weeks to see this. I just might try to be one of the first 15.

If I had eleventy brazillion dollars, I'd have me 3 or 4 of those Air King launchers. It's like a winger that you don't have to reload. Brilliant!
If I had a brazillion dollars I would not use wingers at all but have some well paid birdboys. or at least have someone ELSE haul all the stuff into the field.

Jerry's new product sound nice but for $3200 I will continue to use my bumper boys and plant real birds in the fall area. There has got to be a better way but the last time I tried to make my own, I broke my nose!! So I guess those engineers do know something that the rest of us don't

During the development phase, I got to see a demo with Jerry at our grounds. I have to admit I was skeptical before I saw it. But this duck cannon is awesome. Very simple design, meaning it should be very reliable. I was amazed at how consist the launches were relative to distance, height, etc. And the launch pressure adjustment was virtually infinite but staple once set - meaning you can put the bird where you want it, time after time. Reloading is as simple as dropping the bird (of virtually any variety), bumper, foam bird, etc. in the tube. No .22 loads, no explosive gas, just a std C02 tank & you're ready to train with Tritronics or Dogtra controls. Compared to training with BBs or wingers, this launcher can cut training time considerably & you can use birds - no substitute for birds. I was very impressed.

Quatro Cannon

Gerry,

With the dimensions given (26 inches X 38 feet X 7 feet thick), it would take an 18 Wheeler to transport it and a circus crew with elephants to set it up. :D :D :D

Hi Julie

Yes - she told me that she was very impressed with both the throwers and my remote release system. Maybe you should go into the export business as well as importing BumperBoys?!

See you next weekend.

Cheers, Jason.
Are these the same type of wingers I've seen????

I liked them and thought they were pretty easy to set up and carry around....

Yep - that would be them. They are definitely light and compact and easy to set up. They don't throw a duck very far though.

Regards, Jason.
