Wooooooo, it is raining buckets here!!! This is the first significant rain we have had in months. I am down to one, very crappy training pond which is pretty much running mud at this point in time. It is so bad the gators have begun eating each other and ganging up so thick in the big lakes that you can walk across them. Our rainy season usually does not start for about 3 more weeks, but they are calling for 50% chance everyday this week!! Bring it on. Too bad we have a couple of new fires from the lightning though. Hopefully the rain will contain them.
Already over an inch in the last 45 minutes!! The radar shows nothing but red and yelllow!

That is great news. My brother-n-law lives about 10 miles from I95 in Georgia and he is worried. He has to go way out of his way to get to work. He's praying for a lot of rain.

If the gators have started eating each other I think I could wait a little longer for rain! Let the gators do a little population control for you.

Seriously, how do you train in water without putting your dog(s) at undue risk?

We ask them nicely to leave  You have to be very careful and check, check, and re-check your ponds EVERYDAY to make sure there are none big enough to do any damage. We had a close call last year that ended up being a wake up call to make sure we do not slip up. The little ones are not a problem...they eat the snakes

wooohoooo

Please send some up to Lady Lake, Fl. (Rain, Not Gators).

When we left Florida at the end of April we hadn't had any significant rain in months. Just about all the ponds were dry. The only place to water train was your bathtub.

Wish I could send you some water from my ponds here in Upstate NY. They are overflowing.
