FYI. This season's SRS programs began today on Versus. Show is Wednesday at 10 AM and repeated Sunday at 2:30 PM -eastern time I think.

Not taking anything away from SRS, I wish they have field trials on tv that would be cool. I like to watch SRS and any dog competition on tv also.

Not a good idea. That would just draw attention to the fact that real ducks die in the name of field trial competitions. It would just make easy fodder for the PETA-philes and a very liberal media.

I might be slightly biased... but --- I watched the show @ 9:00 am this morning--- I thought they did a great job of filming......First two shows are from Grand Island, NE. thus my bias.

It's about money and NOTHING else. SRS doesn't feel like messing with all the logistics around acquiring/shooting/disposing of live birds so the neat answer-

How many times has the opposite proved true in Americana history alone? America might as well be called "The Land Of The Underdog". I mean, it's not as if these Peta characters aren't aware of FTs & HTs. By no means could you say we are a cult or some super spook in the CIA. Ex Presidents watch FTs. Some owners/major players in the biggest companies in the country are FT people. You can merely find FT/HT material by being on the bigger dog food websites.

I ran two SRS events this year and no real birds were used at all. I am almost certain that you won't see any real birds used on any events this year. Of course I would rather use real birds, but play by the rules of the event you choose to run. Ought to be good TV either way.
