I have had the same problem in the past. It seems that it is in the "loaded" position. Do the bumpers cycle and do the bumpers shoot when you hit the launch button on your transmitter? Is the unit brand new or used? The timing on the unit may need to be reset if it is new. If you look in the owners manual, it will give you many answers to your questions and if not answered there, it gives you a number to call. When trouble shooting, make sure your batteries in your electronics are good, the batteries on the launcher are charged and you have plenty of "MAPP" gas in the cyclinder. Hope this helps!

Tim-- I believe Thunder Equipment is loads better than the old Thunder Birds or Maxx's. It is mechanical and can have problems but I think anyone who has a problem has found the Doug and his customer service is top notch. Look at his site and see some of the big names that are using the Thunder product.

As for the launcher dumping gas. Have you tried to rotate the plate with the electronics? It sounds to me as if the plate is in the wrong position as stated before.

Had three each of Max,Thunder bird,Bumper boy......I'm with Tim.Ideas are great....but to make these products at a price that users are willing to pay...they must use el cheapo parts to manufacture them. Both brands of Wingers are the most dependable ....and we shall have to wait for a dependable multi thrower.Sorry....Big names might use them once in a blue moon, and prolly got em for free.

Have you tried the 5 or 10 shooter from Thunder Equipment of Pittsburg PA?
Because I'm sure guys by the name of Danny Farmer or Mike Lardy wouldn't endorse junk. They even use these products in their seminars.
Yes I agree the older products did have their problems but the new Thunders are much better.

I have found that when I have had issues with my Thunder 500s, it has been operator error. I HATE owning things that dont work properly and get rid of them when they dont. When I first bought mine, I have to admit that I was a little dissappointed and even a little frustrated. After doing my homework and reading the manual very closely, I have been nothing but pleased with my two units. Don't get me wrong, if you have the time and fresh birds to work with, then wingers are the way to go. Unfortunately, I have 30 minutes to train after getting home from work and the Thunder 500s are the only way to go in my opinion. I will continue to use mine and will look for a third unit in the spring to complete my training gear!

Any issue I had with my 3 Thunder launchers Doug took care of right away.
E mailed him on a Sunday afternoon. Called me back within a few hrs with the fix. Turned out it was the pilot not the plane. Very service free. And yes that
sounds like I timing issue.
Tell me....Has Bumper Boy ever called anyone back on a Sunday afternoon??
