I saw the first dove I've seen in a couple of months yesterday. Normally we have quite a few around but not so far this year. The reports I'm getting are poor to fair all along the OK/TX border. I guess we will have to wait for a front to push some Kansas birds this way.

they are already in Mexico...from the reports in TX either you had the birds or you didnt, had friends literally a mile apart, one group shot near 200 birds, the other scratched out two limits

Pacific Flyaway, they were in MT by the hundreds, 3 weeks ago, enjoying the summer I guess. In AZ they've been scattered, we've been getting desert rainstorms, everyday around 2:30, the birds are still here but the weathers got them all in a tizzy.

They are all over the place here in NC. Easily shot our limit opening day and could have shot many more.

There is more on the way. We've been covered up with them the past two days in NE. Quick limits both days. Cold front just came through last night and its in the low 70's today. I'm sure the doves are ahead of it.

Mike just drive a little SW to my house and you can see 20 Whitewings at the bird feeder on any given morning, house doves of course, no shooting allowed!

whitewings are becoming more common within the city limits of Austin, but they dont seem to be as large as the variety that we used to shoot down south in places like Mission Tx, some of those birds were as big as a pigeon

Whitewings moved into North Texas a decade ago, they are larger than Mourning doves but smaller than Eurasian collared doves, they love city life, golf courses, parks, and backyard bird feeders, unlike Mourning doves who are strict ground feeders the Whitewings get on the bird feeders. In many areas they have become much more common than Mourning doves.

Here in central Texas I have been seen some really good numbers. What is a bit unusual is that almost all the birds have been white wings. There has been flocks of 50+ white wings flying around me the last couple of days. I'm really hoping this cold front, that should be here by tomorrow, will bring in even more birds.

Just hunted dove in Osage County (NE Oklahoma) Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. We go nearly three limits between five guys Wednesday afternoon and they were gone Thursday morning. There was a small front that came in that night with rain just north and south of where we were. I would say they should be your way now.

Just as an aside. This was my pups first hunt since last season and his second season overall and I was pretty proud of how well he has improved since last year. Just a little brag. Off topic I know.

Lot's of White Wing and Rock Pigeons but they are a mile high. Too much pressure around here. Didn't take em long to get educated!!
