15000+ acres and over 360 confirmed homes burned in Black Forest and Colorado Springs so far. This is much larger than last years Waldo canyon fire.

Done!! Have a friend from here in GA that coaches on the Air Force football team and they've had to load up as much as they can in both automobiles and head for safer ground. Praying for the families and emergency workers.

How close is it to you guys?

JS

We are safe...if it gets to us then we really are in trouble!

It is crazy here though - I know several people who have lost homes - its very discouraging...

I've been out there on the rock pile some years back and seen the smoke over the next ridge. Very scary how fast that can move.

The south east edge of the evacuation areas is about 5 miles from our new house. It is on the other side of the town of falcon and across some grasslands. Most of the expansion is on the west and north sides right now.

It would be pretty hard to get to our house. Could happen, but not likely. We have not moved into the new house yet.

WE have the smoke up here -north side of Denver!! that's over 70 miles. hopes and prayers for all down there.

had not heard from WD for a couple of days but last report was that he was ok unless the wind shifts and comes from the north...prayers up for everyone in the state..wish I could come up with a rain dance

I thought he lived down in Fountain??

We have been lucky down this way. I think there is a total of 30,000 acres on fire, but nearly all is in one of the National Forest. We have had to breathe smoke a few days, some of the forest areas we use have been closed, but all in all it is nowhere near as bad as it could be. Definitely not like Co. Springs!

I lived in southern Ca for several years and had to evacuate once for a wildfire. Didn't lose anything but understand what is happening. Prayers headed for all the folks in Co.

My good buddy is still on Pre-Evacuation. Lainee saw this and offered safe parking and storage for their family. He wanted me to express his sincere thanks!

Yup, if he wants to move stuff in advance let me know, I'll give you my address.

Lainee and David are two very generous people. They are already doing this for some friends/families. Lainee said earlier, it's little compared to what these people have lost, but they will help where they can. I hope I don't embarrass them.

Kudos to Lainee and David. Good people.

Prayers sent to all.
