The retriever game has unexpectedly lost a great man today. I'm posting with a broken heart that my best friend and brother Philip Maddox crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. Phil was introduced, and has been a loyal friend, to the hunt test community since 1993. He and his wonderful wife Scotty have been judges in both AKC and UKC since the mid 90s. Phil is survived by Scotty, daughters Lindsey & Nikki, along with 7 beautiful grand children. Please keep my family in your prayers.

You will always be in my heart and soul big brother!!!

Oh David, I am so sorry for the loss of your brother...my condolences to you and your family during this time of grief. My prayers go out to you in the hope they will help soothe the pain

I Am so sorry about the loss of your brother! There are no words to help ease the pain at this time. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. He was way too young.

David, my condolences to you and your family!

David, I'm very sorry to hear this. Doesn't seem that long ago that he and I were visiting at Pat's funeral. We've lost some great retriever people here lately... Phil was one of the most optimistic, joyful people I knew in this sport. Man did he love the dogs. Please pass my respects onto Scotty and know that you're in our thoughts.

Mark

So sorry to hear this. My sympathies to your family.

David, I'm shocked and sorry to hear this. We will miss him. Mark was right about his enthusiasm and attitude about the dogs and the game. He and Scotty have been a great part of the Port Arthur Retriever Club for many years. Our thoughts are with you.

OH MY I am so sorry for the loss of your brother, prayers for peace for you and family....

My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We are new to the sport and both he and Scotty go out of their way to make me my two boys feel welcome. They were both very kind and helpful when we made beginner mistakes at our first hunt test. My boys both learned alot from their advice and kindness.
