adding 'miniature' might cover the full list of current possibilities!

someone is bound to start marketing "Mega-Labs" before long though.

Jere
Oh good grief...there are some Miniature Golden Retrievers right now on Craigslist here.

I came across this breeder close to me that is breeding British pointing silver labs. Was neat looking dogs any thoughts??
H. L. Menken said "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."

Merry Christmas, all. And best wishes for a safe and happy new year. With or without BPSLs, and whatever-doodles.

I'd buy one in a heartbeat! Cross it with a poodle and whammo! Watch the suckers come running! What's a British, silver, pointing labradoodle go for? I'm guessing $3500 and up.

Jere, help me out: When somebody says miniature pointed Labs, do they mean miniature and pointed at the bow and stern like a canoe? Hey, Milner's paddling some propaganda on that: http://www.duckhillkennels.com/dogs/canoelabs.php

so help me understand this one. If it whelps British style it's English lab and if it whelps American style it's a Canoe lab. I've got to tell my show lab friends they no longer sell the runts to "pet homes" they sell as "canoe labs" lol genius!!!!

Who would have thought there would be so many opinions on this one.
Opinions? You know what they say in the land where many, many Labs are bred for whatever reasons other than to say they're "the anti-American" model: Never waste a marketing opportunity without capitalizing on it. Like maybe Milner's next innovation after his "canoe Labs:" Introducing the original Royal National Lifeboat Institution Labrador TM pending - tried to get one of my American performance Labs to strike the pose of a retriever that might be apprehensive about getting into the water because of the dangers of hypothermia

- and sheepish or Shakespearean, at least she went through the motions. Now had she been a silverish Royal National Lifeboatman Institution Lab - like say the color of the HMS Ark Royal - I'd have expected a little more enthusiasm...

this thread has really taken off. Who would have thought there would be so many opinions on this one.
You didn't use the precious search function located in the upper right hand corner of the page:)

Anyone who's been around RFT for a while! ;). The reaction of the Boys (and girls) of The Old Brigade was entirely predictable; the only issue yet to be decided is if their behaviour stems from Classical or Operant conditioning. Why don't you ask them?

I'll hold your coat.

Here ya go...American, pointing silver canoe Chesapeake! She tips the scales right now at 49 lbs. This was a month ago less than a week after surgery to repair 2 ruptured vertebrae in her neck when she was still totally paralyzed; she's now walking and even running on her own. Not real steady on point yet but it's only been 5 wks. post surgery....

Got me there, Michael. I guess the mins are "canoe Labs" if not smaller; the standard Lab is a duck boat dog and the Megas are houseboat dogs? Pointed for canoes, blunt on each end for houseboats?

Fantastic, as stated before by another poster I am getting my drink ready, WTF?
