Just got off the phone with someone running the Open and the Q. They said the trial was actually fun! First series of the Open did not border on the ridiculas. With only 65 Open dogs, the judges have the luxury of letting the handlers and dogs enjoy themselves. Isn't this what the game is about?

Didn't you have a dog or two run this trial last year? I beleive they also ran the N Dakota trial? This is Booty's fifth summer up there and fouth time she's running Minot with her trainer. First was Derby, the next year it was Q and the last two years were Opens. Raider is with his trainer in S Dakota getting ready for N Dakota in two weeks. That trail will probably he huge like the last two years.

Hey there, Mr. Booty you have a good memory!! Yes, Amy ran Central MN (did well in '03 & 04') and RJ'd Minot in the '03 Derby and J'MD the Qual in '04. She had a litter of little red racers at the end of this April & got back into training not too long ago. Her first Open was at the GRCA Natl. Specialty last year, but double handled on the last 2 birds, so no ribbon, but I was sure pleased. My other golden also ran last year, but didn't finish at Minot.
Amy's little brother, Indy, is running the Derby this weekend.
Thanks for remembering her.
