Hello to everyone. I have been reading the forum for some time and have learned a lot so far. I do have one question regarding an outdoor kennel setup. Most specifically what makes the best floor. Concrete? I would like something that can be kept fairly clean because he will spend most of his time in the house. I just need to fix up something for the occasion when I need leave him for most of the day. Thanks for your suggestions.

Concrete is my vote. Cant be dug out of, is able to be hosed and bleached out , no mud, etc.. You could line it with a stall mat if you wanted, but they are very hard to move and clean under,etc..

Most of my kennels are on concrete. easy to keep clean, no digging, ect. I have a couple of stand alone runs that are on pads made from concrete stepping stones. These are not as easy to clean but are a quick ,easy alternative to pouring a slab.
