Tonight in the Tacoma Dome 2 teams from the league my GS plays in will vie to be the WA State 4A Champ.
Pretty  to know that the BB you've been watching throughout the 6+ years of Summer League & 3 years of
HS times has been the best the state has to offer. Also been a real education on how championship teams are
assembled or not :).

Marvin, what's this new affinity for hoops - did you come across some old SuperSonics' peach baskets at the local flea market? I mean, March Madness, high school tournaments in Washington State, what next? - the official history of the Rapid City Thrillers who occupied the Corn Palace for one glorious ("glorious" and CBA together in the same sentence, hah!) season back in the '80s? Or maybe (you'll like this saga of doing it on the cheap) you're about to go international with your new fancy?

Have always been a hoops person, at least for the men's hoops. Lucky enough to have a really good coach
my last 2 years of HS so know a little bit about the game unlike the other sports threads :). Like the team
teams rather than the starcentric teams. Do remember the days of Pollard (a 6'5" white guy) wearing elbow
pads because he was banging up his elbows on the rims. As for the HS kids today it's just entertaining to
watch them develop or not. Not many kids want to expend the effort required to be a good hoops player
unless it's their only way out of the slums. Even then it sometimes doesn't happen.

Looking forward to March Madness now that HS Hoops are done. Other than the GS has an All-Star game to
play next week.
