Do you ever have problems with them not firing the primers?
Your rubbers probably need replacing...Or.. use Liquid Wench silicone lub as oppossed to WD40 as it creates residue and compounds the problem..Or..check your primers (age moisture etc)Do you ever have problems with them not firing the primers?
Especially during those cold nights in an igloo in Alaska...summer comes with a kidNever trust a weak rubber

I don't have GU, same old ZW from day one, so we may be talking apples to oranges....I use Rio primers.. I buy them for 3 cents each (much cheaper than Winchester) but work great...have never had a mis-fire.Hmm I must just be lucky. Rubbers are new parts lubricated and brand new primers. I had Zingers for 10 plus years and used the crap out of them but then started to have some issues with them so it was time to buy new. Bought GU's mostly because they were cheaper. If I had to do it over again I would have gone back to Zingers.'
Had problems with GU's out of the box. Had to tighten every bolt on them and the locking hinges were on backwards Was only getting about 30% success with them firing primers. Called GU and was told to try putting a spot of perma gasket on the side of the hole to make the primer fit tighter or to use a different primer and he suggested Winchester primers. Switched to Winchesters and they worked much better but still occasionally have a miss fire. What brand of primers do you guys use???? They were aware of the issue and the fix was to switch primers. Ok that worked pretty good but now I had 500 primers that were worthless. Also have to go back and tighten bolts on them about once a month. All fairly simple fixes but I just have not been to happy with the over all quality of the product. Have had problems from day one and with Zingers they at least went 10 years before having any issues.

When you get a mis-fire...1) is the primer dinted but not enough to ignite? Or...2) is the primer coming out of the pocket B 4 the hammer hits it due to the launch thrust? If #1 adjust the force (not owning one I am not sure exactly how to do this but I am sure it can be done. If #2 apply grease to the primer hole to keep the primer in place.
These wingers GU or ZW should fire any brand of primer that will fit the hole and all 209 primers should work.
As far as the bolts/nuts issue ... apply some Lock Tite next time, should keep them tight. G.L
I agree WD40 is not a good solution. If you want dirt to attract to it WD40 is the solution.Your rubbers probably need replacing...Or.. use Liquid Wench silicone lub as oppossed to WD40 as it creates residue and compounds the problem..Or..check your primers (age moisture etc)
I don't know... I'd call for replacements. Or sell and buy ZW....sorrySometimes there is just a tiny mark on the primer and sometimes it demolishes it.
I used Rio primers with my Zingers but wont work with GU's. You are right should fire anything and my Zingers would so I used the cheapest because I can go through 400 primers in a week. I know about Lock Tite but it just riles me that I have these issues as minor as they may be with a product that I pay good money for and are less then a year old.,
