I was just wondering if anyone gives there dog a " reward" after a test or trial? Like a McDonald's burger, piece of pizza or something? Kind of like a good job you did great type of thing?

Lanse let the winning dog sit up front in the cab with him on the way home.....the bad thing is that both Nora and Rosa think thats their customary seat...

Yes
My dog gets a McDouble plain. We recently drove back and forth for a local weekend Master test and he was not happy when he didn't get one on Saturday night. I do tear it into bites and give it to him a bite at a time. Not sure he ever actually tastes it though.

Ken Neil gives a steak to split with all his dogs when one of them wins.

Bob Wehle (of Elhew pointer fame) pulled into a field trial with a pointer in the front seat. Someone said "Bob, why would you let that dog ride in your car?"

Bob said "Well, he paid for it so he can ride wherever he wants."

My first JH we stopped at McDonald's to get her a burger. She would not touch it! So then we stopped at Burger King and I had to count my fingers after I offered it to her. I do not eat at McD either but I did not expect her to be that discriminating.

I gave my pup a piece of pizza for his first junior pass last weekend. I think I am gonna start stopping at McDonald's and getting him a burger there. I haven't stopped there in years. Thanks ks for the replies guys. I think it's awesome that people give their pups something after a test or trial.

Plain vanilla ice cream cone for the. Chocolate for me.

I usually reward by the series - a good series and they get EZ Cheese canned cheese - they love it!! And if they have been extra good - Peeps!! :)

Since most of our events are out of town and there is always a DQ or Burgerville in random outer limit towns around here, I always get him a kiddie sized vanilla cone. Sometimes they stick milkbones in the ice cream for him. I do this anytime we have a particularly difficult or long training session, match, trial, test, etc. He is not perfect but he always tries hard.
