Ken,
Hope all is well now. Being out early every morning here in Evanston, we had not heard about this weather.
Prayers sent your way, Ken, and to all that have had to deal with this and the aftermath.

Thanks.............wife just mentioned the weather calls for nickel sized hail tonight with rain and gusty winds..........

Here we go again.

Good luck to you and Dave.........hope your hound knocks em' dead.

Hey Ken,

Did you get hit again this morning, that crap blew through and I was out in it at 5:00 AM with hip waders and a scoop of dog food.

I had to travel to OK City Monday, I35 in Gainesville was closed just north of 82, 82 East was closed, the only way I could go was West on 82 to Nocona and then into OK from there. That put me behind schedule a bit.

The rain just keeps coming.

Ken,
Did you get more this morning. It rained a little over night in Flower Mound, but looked like a nasty storm over Hwy 82 area again.

Hope that boat is handy.

I'm glad everyone's ok and thanks for the rain... We had our first semi-substantial rainfall yesterday. It was nice watching it pour down, everything was much fresher this morning and much less dusty...

Goose,
The back side of the Grapevine Spillway is high. It feeds into a creek that runs under FM2499 - boy is that creek high and it's movin'.

We got more rain last night and it soaked the ground, the streets and sidewalks were wet and it was lightly raining on my way to work. They are calling for a 40 % chance today of storms. Looks like they are calling for a chance of storms 8 out of the next 10 days.

Here we go again, last night 2.5 inches and bucket loads more headed our way today, my big pond will probably go over the spillway tonight, something that has only happened 5 or 6 times in 25 years.......anyone for an ark

Geez, at this rate you might as well move to Oregon. Might be drier here....

brushy creek that could be a big diff in size of pond.
I f they could run a junior than the pond could be big as I have seen some big water singles in junior but if it is big enough for started thats another thing as I have yet to see a water mark over 40 yards but then again I have only been to 6-7 UKC

Not wanting to be late to the flood the city of McKinney just recently lifted the Stage 3 drought restrictions it placed on all city residents last year. We can now wash our cars with our own water hose and we can water the grass twice weekly again.

Tonight I'm glad I live on a hill.

Flower Mound got over 2 inches yesterday and it's raining pretty good this morning. I really thought about getting the jon boat out this morning and taking it to work.

I was at school in Irving that night and the rain flooded MacArthur between North Lake College and The Four Seasons Hotel and driver of a new Lexus decided he could make it through the water. Well guess what - he didn't. People - it's not worth loosing your vehicle or your life. Drive around.

Maybe now you Texas "northerners" will be a little more patient with us down here when we're freaking out over 1/4" of ice every 15 years or so! We've had at least 2" of rain a day for the last 3 weeks; supposed to stay this way for another week. Goes with the territory I suppose when you live in a swamp...

Glad to hear that all of you are doing okay. My son's car wouldn't start last week in Ft. Worth. Asked him if he had driven through water, which he had. Battery was okay. Ran fine the next day after giving his starter time to dry out.

If you're hurting for company, we'll send you a few gazillion mosquitos. I think a new mutant, 5 oz. breed has evolved here.

You don't want to know what the record is in Oregon.
