Did you folks know that handlers can take a vote and tell the judges that they don't think it's fair that the Amateur handlers have to run before the pro dogs running, even though their numbers are EARLIER than the pros? And.............they can take a VOTE and tell the judges that they are NOT gonna run before a pro runs, even if the next pro running is at another stake finishing up there as they've been asked to do which makes EVERYONE wait 'cause "we ain't runnin' before a pro 'cause it ain't FAIR?"

And a judge puts up with (and tacitly supports) this crap?

And where in the $*%&^# is the field trial committee???????

Simply amazed regards,

I think Verdell would support staying with the order of the draw in this situation, inasmuch as it was practical.

I guess it would depend on the spines (or lack thereof) of the judges. Apparently spines were in short order on this day.

Now, now Keith.... Don't be so hard on those spineless judges. For all you know the whiney amateur was part of the field trial committee, along with his croanies. Plus the same big baby probably owns the land the FT is running on.

Kinda sucks.......

I don't know what this is all about, but the next thing you know the gallery will vote on who gets called back....wait they did that once - different games though - during the Roman Empire times. I saw The Gladiators movie.

Actually I think the problem was in the spineless FT committee.

Running order should not make any difference to the judges as long as a dog is on the mat and another in the holding blind.

But it is FT committees that impose rules like " First 10 dogs will run in order", they do the draw. They are responsible for transitioning dogs between stakes. The FT committee just lost control of their own trial.

So....you and I are judging and there are Amateur handlers around who have draw numbers BEFORE the pros they've arbitrarily decided should run BEFORE them, and we're going to sit there and WAIT 'cause THEY say we are?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.........

Actually, a growing number of amateurs at DelBay's FTs convene to reach consensus at just such a likelihood

Obviously I'm not Russ BUT today I learned that someone is seeking attention and if it can't be positive attention then they'll settle for negative attention. Tall to some is not so tall to others. HPW

I don't want to wait on anyone - pro or Am. And that was part of my statement. But if the dogs are there to run, changing running order does not imped the judges - period. NO Different than a marshall sending a pro to the Q and we deal with that all the time.

Just stating that who really controls the running order, as a member of the FT club and backed by the FT committe, is the Marshall. He is LORD and MASTER of the running order. He is the only one that can say:

"Keith - get out of that Open holding blind and go to the Am now. They need you there first"

I really am just blown away. To put it in recently learned(by many on the board) terms. Dude is deep into phase 2 and never broke the surface of phase 1, not even a ripple.

I bought a pup so now I know everything regards,

Gerard,

My point is: the handlers DON'T GET TO VOTE on when they run. If there are only two stakes running and the number of dogs is small, you run where you're drawn, especially if you've got nowhere else to be and pros have been manipulated for greater efficiency, i.e. doing what they are asked to do.

And Paul, I agree with you 100% with the circumstances stated.
