Spent all day Tuesday, beginning at 2 AM and ending at 6 PM helping Maddee deliver her puppies!

I sure don't bounce back like I used to after an all-nighter!

6 healthy puppies: 2 female; 4 male--it was worth it!

Tired.

Thanks. The pups are adorable & I'll hopefully charge up my digital & get some photos while they're still tiny.

It's a very active litter--right out of the gate (or should I say chute)! Maddee is going to have her paws full with these babies!

Vicki,

Congrats on the litter - I hope Maddee is doing well. Those are some seriously nice pedigreed pups - sure wished I could get one! Not that I"m biased about Cruise as a sire or anything like that ;)

Can't wait to see pictures!

We are just so pleased that Maddee is not having any complications. She is being a great mom & loves being a house dog. So far she isn't going bonkers from lack of training, but I suspect these pups will keep her pretty well occupied.

One of them "wandered" off to the far corner of the whelping box last night & I heard the outrage all the way upstairs in the back of the house! Talk about a set of lungs!!!

Congratulations on the babies!! And more boys than girls, again!

Looking forward to some pictures!

Andy

Vicki, when you post the pics can you post the pedigree? I may be the only one not to know!!! I think I can figure out who the sire is by Lainee's post!

Yes that is the pedigree...

Jeff, that is the pedigree. We are quite excited, as the whole purpose of doing this breeding was a pup for me! I don't have a lot of Cruise's semen left, so I don't do any outside breedings with it--just my own puppy needs as they may arise.

Tired

I got all revved up & put my digital on the charging dock. This AM I tried to take a photo or two & the camera is whacko. Red lines through the view finder & I can't find a darned thing in the manual that speaks to this. It's weird. It may be that the NiCad batteries are old & need to be replaced, but it's more likely that I have some unknown function of the camera turned on that doesn't operate well with still photos. Hopefully I'll figure it out--or go buy a disposable digital!
