haha no ducks yet, there are live ones at the house that she stalks and herds and is starting to chase but will only go so close, mama duck keeps her at bay still. she retrieves awesome out of the water though. and she tries to steal the dokken from the other dogs, she'll pick it up by the string if she has to but tries for the body, or the head or foot lol. but boy does she try!

She is too cute! The pics got me rummaging back through my files to see if Indy ever looked that innocent, nope  (except when asleep) Has she been for a ride in the kayak? We never got around to it when pup was small and now I'm afraid the attempt would just result in more "swamping" drills

How is the uti? All better? Hoping so. Have fun!

Awwwwwwwwwgh!

Kourtney,

There sure does seem to be alot more than just any puppy there. She looks like she has it all figured out already. What a cute puppy!

Congratulations on your new addition!

haha thanks guys!

Bill, she is a little spitfire! She's growing out of that puppy napping phase so quickly now and it's all I can do to tire her out. And she's too smart for her own good sometimes. She sits for her food and she'll come oh probably 7 out of 10 times. Boy is she a chewer though! It's time to another trip to the pet store for toys already.

Carol, yes she's been in the kayak. She's been in the boat already at least 5 times. She usually just sleeps in the boat. I put her in the kayak and she sat on my lap just watching and biting at the water splashing. Then she just fell asleep either on my lap or down by my feet. She was very good.

Dale, that made me laugh! lol she is adorable, I can't stand it I always want to pick her up and pet her and she has her own opinion about that lol.

Ron, she is pretty special. I'm just happy we've bonded this well already. I think she'll turn out just fine. :)

Oh, as far as the UTI, still on the Clavamox and I'm going to do another UA on the 22nd when we go for shots so we'll see what the results are then. I'm trying not to worry until then lol.

Thanks!!

Hey guys, just thought I'd update ya'll on how Kiela is doing. We went to the vet for shots Wednesday and the UTI is cleared up. So that's very good news. She weighed in at 15lbs. so she gained about 4 lbs in 2 weeks.

As far as "training" goes, she's doing awesome. She knows sit and come, obviously not 100% but pretty darn good for 10 1/2 weeks. I've started teaching her down with treats and she's catching on. I'm doing a little bit of leash work when we practice come and she responds well to the tugs.

She still loves her paint rollers and she tries to retrieve the Dokken too. "Daddy" was shooting his .22 pistol the other day when she was out so I took it as an opportunity and threw the Dokken for her in the front yard while he was in the back yard. She would stop and look when the shot went off then return to the Dokken right away. I kept talking to her upbeat and praising her and I couldn't ask for a better reaction. He shot 6 shots on the revolver. If I had seen any negative reaction from her I would have stopped but she was great.

I threw the paint roller over a little branch/stick and she went right out over it and came back straight over it. I try to let her hold it for a minute after she gets to me before I take it but take it before she drops it at the same time.

So, overall I'm very pleased with her progress. I am spoiling her and feel like I'm not doing as much with her as I have with my past two boys, but she's smart. I just started doing a 5 minute retrieving session and later in the day a 5 minute OB session (with treats).

She is a devil though! Constant supervision lol. This morning she decided she wanted to eat a raw potatoe. Shoes are her favorite chew toys, shoes and flip flops. She does great in the crate though and overnight she sleeps 7 hours usually before needing to go out.

I'm very happy with her and she's a love. She likes to sleep on me at night or climb up in my lap when she wants to nap. I'll try to get more pictures up, she's grown a lot in the past almost 4 weeks.

She looks great and I wish you all the luck in the world with her, you deserve it.

What a cutey, hope all goes well, and good to see you stayed with the Tiger lineage.

Thanks Terry, I really hope I've got her with me for a long time to come.

Mark, yesI like the Tiger lines. It's funny how many things she does that are the same as Boscoe when he was a pup and you can see the family resemblence. Hey, congrats on the JH with your Deuce pup!

Ok, guys here's a few photos, definitely not even close to being up to date but I'm soooooooooo bored at work that I figured I'd put them up anyways! lol. She's 5 months, weighs 32 or so lbs. and is pure devil haha. Jk, not pure devil, maybe 68%! She's fun though. She's been hunting a few times, only saw ducks one day and no hits. She's been CC to here but I think she needs another session. She's been introduced to the heeling stick and does fine with it. She knows the prong collar too. We're not doing a heck of a lot of retrieving because we're trying to get the vocalization under control. I know I know, she went hunting anyways, but she's quiet actually, very good. Her vocalization trigger is the same as Boscoe's, when another dog is present. And speaking of which, that's why she's gotten to go hunting so early, I'm taking every opportunity I can get, and like I said, she's actually very good. She watches the sky and gets really alert when I call. She'll be lucky if she ever gets anything though since this is my first season out too lol. Ummm, other than I love her tons and she's absolutely spoiled rotten! Gets along great with the other dogs. Now stays in the crate when I'm gone (about 6 hours) instead of going to my brother's house. Spends some time out in the kennel and loves it, won't mess in it even though it's still just grass floor. Yup, I think she's a keeper!
