1) Back off and allow those men who want to marry men, marry men.

2) Allow those women who want to marry women, marry women.

3) Allow those people who want to abort their babies, abort their
babies.

4) In three generations, there will be no democrats!!!

I love it when a plan comes together............

Friday humor regards

I'm sure the RTF members that are lawyers are thrilled to read that comment. Don't lump all people of any profession into one group....there are good and bad in all aspects of life.

Sorry, but I don't see the humor and I don't think it's clever. I happen to be a straight Republican, but it seems to me that without the Democrats we would still have Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swaggart, Larry Craig, the Westboro Baptist Church, and, sadly, a long list of other hate groups and plenty of folks whose idea of "freedom" was making sure that the rest of the world conformed to their beliefs and behaviors. We wouldn't have a pretty fair percentage of the men and women - straight and gay - who are putting their lives on the line in Iraq right now.

What we would not have without these voting blocks: Hillary, John Edwards, Schumer and a bunch of other looney left liberals. Its like the push to give convicted felons the franchise back and to allow it to illegals. The dems are reasonably sure that such groups will all vote for them in large percentages. Take the felons for example, tough GOP laws and judges are , in their eyes responsible for the fix they are in, liberal democratic inspired laws and liberal judges are a way to revolving door justice. Just look at NY and VT as states where the dems and libs write the majority of laws. There are other voting blocks that tyraditionally vote Dem, labor unions, blacks(since FDR) and eastern city dwellers.

"A man for All Seasons," there is a pivotal scene in which Richard Rich, a former friend of Sir Thomas More flees to betray him.
More's family pleads with him to use his power as Lord Chancellor of England to arrest Rich. More refuses because however evil Rich might be, he is committed no crime. More's son-in-law, William Roper argues that to catch the devil he would cut down every law in England. More responds by comparing laws to trees:
"oh ? And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you - where would you hide, the laws all being flat? This country's planted thick with laws from coast to coast and if you cut them down do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes I'd give the Devil benefit of law for my own safety sake."
More remains true to his conviction, even though Rich's perjury will eventually lead to More's execution for treason.
Moore's words warrant reflection. Like the English Laws that More respected the Bill of Rights is both a shield and a stumbling block. We cannot enjoy its protections without also enduring its inconveniences.

Shakespear said "kill all the lawyers. So that tryanny can rule."

Just ranting. Bob great to see you back. Your the man. Attorney Michael L. Moscowitz

Thank you.

My first reaction to this thread was to suggest an alternative plan to get rid of ******** by repealing all laws against incest. I didn't because some of my best friends are ******** and it's probably a good thing that we have laws to protect them (joke).

In case it's not otherwise obvious, I am a liberal Democrat. My parents were leaders in the civil rights movement in Tennessee in the early 50's. I was proud of my liberal background then and remain comfortable in my beliefs today. I find no conflict between my liberal beliefs and my love of dogs and our various dog sports, my ownership of guns and enjoyment of shooting, etc.

We are participants in an embattled sport. I don't think our sport is promoted by attacking those among us who support the sport but disagree on unrelated political issues. I, for one, have never refused to train with a Republican and even sent one of my dogs to be trained by one.

I was goin to stay out of this thread. But, a guy can only be tempted for so long. I am a conservative and have always been. I have friends that are liberals, once a week 4 of us get together for cigars and drinks and debate politics. At this moment in time there is more wrong with the republican party than there is with the liberals. Althought the liberals have no plan about how do anything other than raise taxes, but at least they have something together. The repubilican party has no idea what they want or who they want leading them. Our current conservative administration has done nothing that would make you think republican except for cutting taxes and raising defense spending, but Pres Bush has spent so much that my 3 year old son will still be paying for the debt when he's out of school and raising a family.

I in fact enjoy having liberals around because without people with a difference of opinion life would be terribly boring and a good debate sometimes is fun and good for the soul.

But, the biggest reason I enjoy having liberals around is because without them who the heck would we conservatives make fun of??

UN..believable....I thought at first the liberal-democrat-lawyer protectors were just commenting on the joke with tongue-in cheek sarcasm.....but now I see they're SERIOUS??? can you spell: C H I L L out? it's a JOKE!

besides..you're probably going to have the last laugh anyway, when one of your 'people' will more than likely get in the White House....

For what it's worth, I actually agree with Bubba's plan. I just don't think the results would be what he predicts.

My negative reaction was more to some of the other things said in the thread and to my feeling that humor with its roots in hate seldom seems very funny unless it comes from those rare people who are as willing to laugh at themselves and their own beliefs as they are at others.
