One of the lab names I have read when researching retriever history is Itching to Go. I just always loved that name. Another is Debbie Does Ducks. (My brother, who was 9 years older than me, once explained that name may have come from a very famous movie. ;-) Or famous in certain circles...)
Does anyone have any insight/stories as to who named these dogs or how they got named? Any names you particularly like from the past? And why do certain Labrador breeders use a kennel prefix and others do not? For instance, Candlewood dogs are registered with the Candlewood name and I see some other kennels in the past or present use a prefix as well.
