21.Oregon
22.Brigham Young

Based on strength of schedule;

1 LSU
2 Florida
3 Georgia

Somewhere is the Top 10

USC
Missouri
Tennessee
Oklahoma
West Vaginia
Arkansas
Auburn

I'd put my top 2 teams up against any 2 non-SEC schools in the Nation. Losing two games both in triple overtime in the SEC, they are still the best!

Tebow deserves the Heisman and Florida will be unbeatable again in 08.

You guys gotta be kidding. There are other conferences besides the SEC. In non conference games LSU clubbed Va Tech, but other than that what SEC teams had real quality wins outside the conference. Pretty much all the top teams have lost within their conference.

A playoff would help solve things, but until then a 2 loss SEC team isn't going to play in the national title over a 1 loss team from other major conferences, no matter how long you hold your breath.

One can't compare any conference to the SEC. Unlike other conferences, the BIG competition is within the SEC, not who do we play outside of the SEC. That's because other conferences have one maybe two real quality football programs. In the SEC, their are six to eight, depending on the year.

How many other conferences are sending possibly 9 to 10 teams to bowl games?

Last year here on RTF, I made a bet with a popular RTFer that the SEC would have the best bowl record. Guess who won?

Just look at last year's 1st Round of the NFL Draft. Over one-third of the players selected were from the SEC! The SEC has dominated the NFL 1st Round for most of the past 20 years. Why? Because SEC schools play the toughest competition, they play themselves!

1. Hawaii - Still unbeaten. A playoff system needs to be implemented or Hawaii is #1.
2. Missouri
3. Kansas
4. Georgia
5. West Virginia
6. LSU

30. Oklahoma State - Due to strength of schedule and winning games without a defense (which makes me wanna puke).

Dead Last. Oklahoma - Due to repeated cheating violations (hey their mascot stands for cheating) including cars for players (Adrian Peterson), recently gas for players, high paying jobs without work, abusing NCAA phone calls to recruits, and lots of un-covered violations.

Last year's bowl results
SEC 6-3
Big East 5-0
Guess you lost.

Sure you had more teams in the bowls, but you have alot more teams than other leagues.

The only way that you can compare conferences is how they do in non conference games. The bowls aren't the best measure though, because they are almost all played in the south. I'd love to see LSU play in Michigan or Wisconsin in winter weather. They may not even get off the bus.

Doesn't matter how many people are drafted from the schools. It's all about TEAMS.

Tennessee Numbers 1 - 10.

Sorry the SEC rules! ...... Then there all those weaker football conferences.

;):) Yeehaw!!!

hahahahahhaahahahahahah
More teams in bowl games, more wins, and more NFL drafts. Uh yeah you have a point. The NFL scouts don’t know anything about players.
Baaaahahahahahahahahahah
I guess that OSU got it butt kicked, that is 41 to 14, because the game was played in the south.... keep on telling yourself that.

1. Mizzou
2. Missou
3. Missou
... you get the point...

Were #1 right now and that is special after a lifetime of dreaming about it. I am happy for the University and team. The crap talk about conferences is funny, I feel like our conference is brutal, OU is a monster no matter how you explain it, but I think we can beat them this year to play in the championship. The funny thing about winning the more you win the more confidence you get and the better you play so winning against ranked teams and beating them is double special because you took that away from a good program.

Well....no matter what scenario in the Big 12, it is starting to look like LSU in the Sugar against.....Bwaaahahaha.....Hawaii!!!!!!! (Yes, I'm discounting the vOLS) That's about a no win situation for the 'tiggers'! I REALLY wish ANY sec team would play U$C at full strength...I love that accent...when suthen bois cry for mama :) :) :)

PS....even better yet would be for Washington (THE most pitiful, pathetic, miserable PAC team) to beat the rainbow dudes and THEN the 'tiggers' and 'bows' meet....yeah, well guess that won't happen. Just thinkin

Yes Dback. UF cried all the way home from the National Championship when they played a full strength USC oops...wait a minute...yeah thats right....USC wasn't there at the national championship..nor was any PAC 10 team....hmmm...perhaps you're right ...it was because USC wasn't at full strength...... Bwaaahahaha...anyway...Don't discount the Vols..LSU had better not if they don't want a Tennessee Dog whuppin'!

OK Ok

I'm revising my Top 25 now:

1 Tennessee
2 Mizzou (Congrats Guys!!!!! You guys are awesome)
3 through 25 Tennessee

Bwaaahahaha!!!!!

Go Vols!

Hey isn't this a dog training forum anyway:razz::rolleyes:

Lets look a little further at this
Big 10. To start they can’t count with 11 teams in a conference called the big 10. That can only mean they can’t count or they think ten of the teams are big and one is a patsy for them to beat up on. This conference did put 6 teams in the top 25 at some point in the season and all but one team has a winning record. However, only one team in this conference played 4 top 25 ranked teams most played 2 or less. The average number of top 25 teams played by each team in this conference was 2 with one team playing no top 25 ranked teams (high 4 low 0). Round that out with all teams having victories over powerhouses such as Buffalo, Miami OH, ND State. OSU alone took care of Youngstown Sate, Akron, and Kent State.
Number of teams ranked in top 25 at some point 6
Average number of top 25 teams played per team 2
Their top team OSU played 4 teams with records of less than .500 (and the mighty Youngstown State who has a winning record but victories over Stony Brook, SD State, and Lock Heaven hardly make say much for their record.)

Big 12. 5 teams ranked in the top 25 at some point (am I missing any?). Four of 12 teams in this conference have records of less than >.500 and 2 teams are at .500 so half the conference is at or below .500. This conference played more ranked teams per team than the Big 10 with each team playing an average of 4 top 25 teams (high 5 and low 2). Played a far better schedule than the Big 10 with the exception of the afore mentioned less than .500 teams in their division.
Number of teams ranked in the top 25 at some point 5
Average number of ranked teams played per team 4
Missouri played 6 teams with less than .500 records
Oklahoma played 6 teams with less than .500 records

SEC. All but 2 teams in this conference have winning records. 9 teams ranked in top 25 at some point. At least 8 teams going to bowl games. Each team played and average of 5 top 25 ranked teams during the season (7 high, 4 low) will all teams playing at least 4 ranked teams.
Number of teams ranked in top 25 at some point 9
Average number of ranked teams played per team 5
Georgia played only 3 teams with records of less than .500
Florida played only 3 teams with records of less than .500
Tennessee played only 3 teams with records of less than .500
LSU played only 4 teams with records of less than .500

I do think Missouri is worthy of ranking in the top three and right now, MAYBE number 1. I would love to see them play LSU, Florida, Georgia, or Tennessee. Right now I have no problem with Missouri being in the championship. They played a tough schedule and did a good job. My beef is more in the ranking of WVU or OSU as the second best team. Neither have proven anything and are not worthy of washing the jock straps for Missouri, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, or for that matter Oklahoma.

BB- what happened to those Vols against the Gators?? I think that was, oh what was the score……oh yeah 59 to 20! In this case shouldn’t it be
Missouri
Florida
Tennessee 3-25 ??

LOL....Jou selly BB....I'm not talking past history, if I was I'd have too shamelessly point out that U$C has had more PERFECT seasons than florida has had NC's. I'm saying SC has a very good club this year (at full strength) and I'd like to see a SC - SEC matchup. Won't happen but I wish.

Gonna stick my neck out and go final BCS:

1) WV
2) Georgia
3) Mizzou

HA! Ha!

You got me on that one. UT sure has a stigma with UF I'll admit that...

I still don't see adding UF to my top 25 though....but I do think Teebow for Heisman is on my list...heck after watching him several games...Tim Teebow for President!! He really is the total package!!! Too bad he plays for UF though....

OK I'll modify one last time:

1. Tennessee
2. Mizzou ( Congrat Again and Again!)
3. Tim Tebow
4 through 25 Tennessee

Bwaaaahhhhhaaaahhhhhaaaaa!!!!!!:p

:)How many times do I have to tell you kids not to mess with HEW or badbullgator...they have way too much time on their hands :) :)
