Get a rechargable fan, DeWalt, Milwaukee.................
And one of these;
and/or these
or this

Anyone using the Chill Well portable AC in the back of their capped pick-up trucks? My truck is black and even with a fan it gets pretty warm. I'm looking for solutions. Thanks
I have been happy using the Ryobi 18volt fan in my capped pickups and, when it is really hot, putting a frozen gallon jug , for extra cooling, in back of the fan so extra cold air is directed thru the fan.

Hadn't really considered other alternatives, but I did a search and Amazon procuced Amazon.com : chillwell portable ac. Those results seemed to indicate that other, cheaper portable AC units got much higher ratings than the Chill Well.

Slightly sideways on the topic: It’s hot in the south. I know 1 dog truck with a built in generator and ac to cool the dogs.
personally I use a 5000 btu electric ac slid into the breezeway. The hounds look forward to 830 when they go up.
it doesn’t work so well going down the Hwy

These silver, reflective sun shade blankets work great for keeping the back of a pickup bed cool....................with or without a topper. Couple fans like above, and you're pooches will be fine.

Pix is getting back into my truck; with my dog, after the water test and drying her off. That was in Iowa a few years ago around this time. It don't get hot in the midwest.
