I found more than I could eat in a year. I love those things. I always dry some of them on good years, to use in soups and gumbos later.

That is wrong on so many counts - Not fair of you to be posting pics like that , especially since I haven't found any yet .

Dip em in egg , batter them in Garlic and Butter Ritz crackers , Fry them in about 2 lbs of butter . And enjoy a feast . Awesome to eat - Making my mouth water right now thinking about them .

They are seriously the best mushrooms in the world. It is hard to describe how good they are.

I think the ones pictured are yellow morels. We have them here,, but I find them hard to locate. Usually out east or in the lower elevations.

We have a good abundance of Black morels here. They like to grow after a wildfire, particualy in the 2 to 3 years following one. They grow in the mountains.

I have been lucky enough to find them while Blue grouse hunting. They are a real treat at camp dinner.

Dang, no calories or cholesterol in that is there???? Sounds divine, all we've got are toad stools.

Good eats...very pricey if you have to buy them but my buddy Danny hooks me up with several gallons everytime I see him.

Yeah thats the funny thing about it. The rich folks pay out the whazoo to get them in fancy restaurants, but ******** all over the world eat them by the pound.

Happy ******* regards.

I thought us ********* ate some weird stuff. Man that surely doesn't look eatable to me. But I won't knock it. We eat oyster mushrooms that we find growing on willow trees in the swamps.

I like oyster mushrooms a lot too, but they don't hold a candle to morels. Oysters and morels are the two main varieties I eat. I don't trust my identification of many of the other types.
