fc colonel bowies revenge
fc highpoints troublesome sugar
oops.. the other one is an agility champion not field champ..
so at least 2 show up on gooddog

I did the basics on 2 dogs that have their open win and need but a few points for their title. They're only 4 years of age.

Boss was a wonderful stud dog in my opinion. He threw a dog much like Harley did. Easy to train, easy to live with and easy on the eyes... He didn't get the breedings he should have but that's another story and more then one stud dog was in that boat.

He produced a good dog for an amateur. IMHO....

Several UKC titled ones as well.
GH 3, HC 33, HR 22, ST 11, UH 5
Boss is/was the #5 all time producer of UKC titled dogs (HRC) per the annual Top Producing Sire report.

Mary Tatum of Watermark Retrievers (http://www.watermark-retrievers.com/boss.htm) should be able to give you more answers. She is a wonderful lady (see my "Thank You" to her on an earlier post http://www.retrievertraining.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25573). I'm convinced that if she hadn't let me have her pick puppy, I'd still be looking!!!

I have also kept the info I was able to get on my website for others to see. (http://www.driftwoodlabs.com/PLANNED_LITTERS.php)

Like in Angie B's post, I have read many such reports about Boss pups. To add to her comments, his pups are known for being great marking dogs and running straight lines on both marks and blinds. My pup is 4 months old now and as far as lines go, she runs a nice line to the marks!!! I'm anxious to see her blinds in the future!!! ;)

That's what I have heard also.

A friend owns a Boss son out of a Gunstock's Lethal Weapon bitch that can flat mark. He is as good a natural marker as I've seen. He's also VERY smart, tractable, and a pleasure to be around. Mostly a pet, and sometimes hunting dog. A nice, nice, animal that could play the game.

RTFer Mark Littlejohn owns a really nice Boss son as well.

Has he produced some titled dogs?
There are LOT'S of Boss dogs in the field trial game now. I know of two that have wins and need just a few points for their FC.

Not only are they great markers but great liners as well, so I am told.

Well thank you David. I'll put it this way, we went 4 for 4 this spring, qualified for MN's, and have needed 1 handle in our last 5 tests (what's that, 40 or 45 marks?). And that's with an owner / trainer / handler that doesn't have a friggin' clue... so its GOT to be the dog!!!

(But we won't talk about our FT progress... yet).
