Or - there are only about 6,000 of these wonderful dogs in JRT rescues ... people dont know what they get when they bring home a puppy - they are hard working and energetic (the way most field people like their labs) but a lot of folks are thinking lap dog and they end up back in shelters.

I have a 6 year old Jack - when and if I am ever brave enough to get anohter ;) I'll most likely rescue. Just a thought. Here are some links to check out:

Please be careful and make sure sire and dam along with puppies have been baer tested. There are hearing problems in both Parson's and JRT'S along with eyes and patella (knee) problems. There is also a problem known at Ataxia that can be early or late onset. It is a neurological (sp) problem.
