Soo lets preface this with the whole 'dont yell at me thing.' But, I was gonna go watch a hunt test and I was wondering if, as a spectator, I need to wear camo or anything like that. Sorry, but I am very new to all of this and dont want to drive three hours only to piss someone off because i am wearing blue or a red shirt or something.

Hi Randall, welcome to the game.

If it is a UKC event I would probably at least wear a camo shirt, and dark kahki pants. They are a little more strict than the AKC in my experience. No one will yell at you or anything but if you showed up in white pants and a white shirt they may ask you to stand back or cover up. I have seen a few girlfriends w/ white on that were asked to put on a jacket or something. Mostly in the higher stakes.

AKC I have run my dog wearing a dark blue shirt and tan pants. Most of my camo I deer hunt in and don't really want to smell like a Waffle House/wet dog/Motel 6 when I get in my tree stand! You will see a lot of different clothing types but most will be wearing some sort of camo. Have fun, they are really cool to watch. Talk to you later.

White, yellow or other light clothing is a definate no-no. If you are in the gallery dark clothing is appropriate. Camo is okay, but not required.

Bring a chair and some cokes and enjoy the experience.

If possible, visit all the stakes you can get a view of the differences.

Asking questions is okay - just not in a voice loud enough to disturb the working dog.

As a spectator you can wear just about anything to an AKC event. Wearing camo or earth tones would be considerate and what most handlers and gallery will be dressed in. Do not wear white to a hunt test-you may be asked to move if the gallery is postioned near the line.

If its a NAHRA event - wear anything but white. Like everyonelse said earth tones - like OD, tan, brown, black, and camos are best. Have fun and enjoy yourself. Marshall will tell you where to sit. Binoculars, sun cream, chair and some drinks and you'll be all set.
