Good deal. There is no greater feeling than knowing they are doing what they love to do. Looks like his owner had a pretty good day as well. Congrats!

One of the best feelings in the world is watching your hunting partner bring back a duck you shot with his tail wagging.

Good looking boy! How old and who's he out of? Just went thru the same experience myself a few weeks back. Heck, those are probably some we scared the h*ll out of and sent your way.

He will be 2 in May. Before I knew anything about retrievers and training and all of that, I didn't do much research. I actually found him in the newspaper and he is out of a breeder that breeds for looks, not hunting or field trials. I ended up being pretty lucky though, he loves hunting and he loves to retrieve.

I was worried when he was young, while playing he broke all four toes in his front right foot. It has healed pretty well, not completely straight but good considering what happened.

We hunted hard for 3 days and he had a limp the last day upon returning to the house. I am guessing it may be arthritis from the broken toes? I give him glucosime pills every day, is there something I could give to relieve him after some hard hunting?

Thanks again
