My question is how many retrievers (labs, chessies, goldens, flatcoats, etc.) have earned the combination of CH, OTCH, and MH?

Our Toller "Eddy" is the second Toller to earn and OTCH and the first of the breed to earn a show CH, and OTCH and a MH. Eddy earned his OTCH 2 weekends ago and we're headed down to the National Obedience Invitational next week. This year Eddy qualified for the Master National (3rd time in a row), and earned his UDX, UDX2 and his OTCH.

Congrats John to you and Eddy; I always enjoy watching Eddy (and his offspring) run in hunt tests.

No Chessies, tho we do have something none of the rest of the retriever breeds do, living Dual Champions.
In Goldens there is a Canadian Dual Champion - Dual CH Firemark's Push Comes To Shove... And he has started obedience as well -has his CDX now and working on UD.. So may be the only Triple Champion soon (being in Canada if you get the UD you get the Canadian OTCH title.. Though Canada now has a Obedience Champion program more like the US now and the title is GMOTCH -"Grand Master Obedience Trial Champion" I belive it is called.)

I know many of the parent clubs have lists of multi-titled dogs. The labrador parent club list, for instance, can be found at:
http://www.thelabradorclub.com/subpages/multi_titled_dogs.php

I don't know if the other parents clubs have these same types of lists, though. If not, your best bet for checking out various breeds would probably be to contact the AKC directly.

One of my goals in life is to have a CH/MH dog...we'll see if we ever get to that MH level without a pro (especially since I haven't ever done this before). LOL An OTCH would be something that I think would probably take more time and money than even the other 2 combined! ;)

John, congratulations on your huge accomplishment!

In the Curly world, there is Diver, GMHR,Am/Can/CACIB/Mex Ch, OTCh Charwin Diver Down, UDX3, ASCA/Mex/UKC CDX, Can UD, RE, OA, NAJ, CGC, WCQ, SH, HR, ROMX, HOF, CGN, bred and owned by Kathy Kail in California. Unfortunately, Diver lost his hearing late in life and could not finish his MH as he could not hear the whistles. His many accomplishments prompted the CCRCA to establish a versatility trophy in his honor.

We've had

CH Broad Reach Gripper UD, MH

and

OTCH Broad Reach Diesel UDX2 TD MH ***

It does require a high level of committment.

My sense is that a dog that achieves an OTCH should also be able to achieve a MH if the owner is willing to go for it.

Congratulations and good luck at the NOI.

I'm pretty new to the retriever test/trial game. Can you explain what all of these titles are? Where can you find out more about the organizations that award these titles? Thanks.

John, I heard you got em all titled out. Congrats. Tellus and I are hitting the wildlife area today, if you really want to see a demo of water cheating, breaking, dropping transmitters, sliding backwards of mounds, using a heeling stick on your training partner and overall general mischief your're welcome to join us....

Alternative Training Procedures: At the line, birds are down, dog creeps, stick man, (spouse in this case) aims a huge whack at dog's butt, hits handler instead. Handler shrieks, dog sits. WaaaaLaaaaaa, appropriate correction has been administered to both handler and dog.
