How close are you talking?? Lean Mac lines have been pimped and hoed around quite a bit!!! You'll find many variations of him being linebred.

If you look at a list of national qualifiers over the last few years, you will find quite a few Lean Mac linebreedings.

I'm know there are a lot of them out there, that's not the question. I'm wondering about any health or tempermental issues to be concerned about.

Anytime you line breed you double the risk of the problems of the line breed sire. I have line breed max several times and not had any problems. I try to drop Max off a 3 generation pedigree on one side. As I am sure you know to have hips, eyes, elbows, EIC, and CNM done. If the dam or the sire are clean of EIC and CNM why not he is the greatest sire of all time.

Kris......I have about as close a line breeding on Maxx as possible. He is a really HIGH drive dog with BRAINS. I am attaching a copy of his pedigree.
He has NEVER had any health issues or behavior problems other than breaking as a young dog. He is now 7 and still acts like a pup. He has been passing on his brains, birdyness and marking ability to his pups. I am also attching his 5% from good dog info.

I have ONE labrador sired by Lean Mac. On my lab's maternal side, Lean Mac is his great grandsire. My opinion, might not matter. He is a keeper and has been so much fun to train, trial, and have in the house. He is resting on my feet as I type.
