I finally got a subscription to RO as a birthday present! My first one came yesterday (on my birthday) - I have to "assume" that's one of my gifts from my wonderful husband! I can't wait to get my new handler's jacket, too!

I'm spoiled rotten!

Dennis and Fiona put out the best retriever training publication money can buy, its results to cost ratio is off the charts.

Hey Dan, is that tatt the real thing or have you run up some "fetching" transfers to fund raise for the Rhode Island Specialty? Great artwork whatever the case.

With the exchange rate on the us to cnd dollar you guys are getting a even better deal.

I have suscribed for several years now and when I am asked where to get good training articles or how too information this is where I send folks. best quality info for your dollar Hands down!

And maybe, next issue , you will be reading an article I wrote for RO.:D
I do hope you enjoy it. :)

What it doesn't have in gloss and color pictures- it more than makes up for with articles that you go back to over and over again. The diagrams and test setups are first rate-just like being there. Not only does Dennis write articles that can be understood by anyone, but he walks the walk training and traling his own dogs, so you know the advice is road tested. This doesn't seem to be a profit driven or self promotional publication-it's amazing that anyone would share so much really helpful information.

You get far more than your money's worth!

Ok, I made my decision to call in a subscription, and now only get a recording! What hour are the phone subscriptions allowed? I figure because I tried on a Friday the first time, they are at a trial somewhere. Should I wait until Monday?

I trust you left a name & number and a message? Fiona will call you back. She works a full time job. Dennis is in Florida.
This will be the best $35.00 you have spent on dog training! :D
Congratulations!!

Can't you leave a message? I would think that would be easiest. Remember Dennis and Fiona are dog people so they don't work bankers hours.
I'm not a banker anymore! I left my message on Friday, so I guess now I have to be patient.

Done! Fiona called me back and I got subscribed. Now of course I can not wait until my first issue, the Nov/Dec 08, arrives! (after this morning, I REALLY need it:-x!)

Is this publication in a newspaper format, just white copy paper, etc? Just wondering for storage purposes and what the older volumes would look like if I got back issues.

Retrievers ONLINE is printer on white paper that is 8 1/2" X 11" and while it is staple bound, it come pre-punched for 3 ring binders. A 1" binder holds one year (6 issues) just about right!

Thanks to everybody who posted all the positive comments about our magazine. Your feedback on the specific things that you like (or dislike?) is very valuable to us.

Cheers,

Any plans to start taking subscriptions online?

Without question, the best resource for retriever training available. When you subscribe just go ahead & order at least 2 years of back issues. You'll gain an immediate treasure trove.

With luck, Dennis will agree to put on some more handler seminars in the near future ...best investment of time I've made in this game.
