Looking to go south next winter for a month of dog training and running tests. Does anyone know of training property to rent with a house or camper hook up or a retriever club grounds that allows campers.

Call Rodney Tittle @ 205 487 5004. He is a dentist but will come to the phone if he knows what you are wanting. He had a guy from Michigan down for several weeks last year about this time.
He owns Bear Branch Lodge in Townley Alabama.
Great training grounds. Been several HT's there and a couple invitational events.

Rock Erin Kennels near Stillwater, OK

Joseph has a small house to rent plus hookups and fabulous grounds.

Torg:

Give Rick Stawski a call. Also Jack La Vigne moved from Duluth to the Miccosuckee, Florida area. He maybe able to get you on some land.

I'm training with Steve Yozamp down around the Thomasville, GA area, but since this my first year in the area I am not yet familiar with the territory. All I know is there are a lot of dog trucks in the area.

There are some hunt testers training in the T'ville area that you may know. Tom Zoellner from Wis. and John Blackbird. I understand John will be back in MN this weekend for a couple weeks. He may be able to help you out.

BTW, how is Stony doing?

The Boston,Thomasville area hold a few HT/ FT. and you are with in 3-5 hours of a lot more. There are a lot of people that come to this area and train. Jim and judy Powers are great people they may be able to help you out. Lardy and other pro's are here in thw winter as well.

Stoney is enjoying the girls and being the big clown he always has been. He is such a big ole Teddy Bear. I've retired and Linda wants to take her vacation training dogs in the south next winter. These Minnesota winters are just too long, too cold and snow too deep to get much training done. Too late this winter to go, we have a litter of pups due in a week. Thought we would start planning a head and see if we could get something setup for next February. Hoping to make it an annual trip. Thanks for the info. Sounds like there is a few different options with the responds received.

Dr. Ed,

That is no joke......I've felt like I'm in Stillwater, MN. Had more snow on the ground the past month than I care for. Now its melting and everything is soaked.......New ponds are filling up though.
