Last day is the 10th, I believe it is a private property hunt only.Depradation hunt???? I didn'y realize it was open. Oregon is pretty close to cali. and I have the next two weeks off. How long is the season?
Just got back and have not downloaded the pics yet. I will get to them. We killed a total of 12 Specks in two days with a group of six hunters and zero on the Snows. One was really barred up, so I decided to have it mounted. No pictures of birds, just decoy and blind layouts, it was a rushed weekend due to having to get back home. With pix for those of us stuck at work...
Tons of birds, saw Specks and Snows by the thousands. There are no birds and hunting in Oregon. Nothing to see here. Move along.....

I heard almost the same story from a friend who was hunting with his buddy who normally is fishing in Alaska....love that area. My best friend and his wife are both teachers in Weiser. I go visit a few times a year.I hunted Canada geese in Idaho in Dec just outside of Payette and right across the hwy from the Oregon border and the birds just sat on the Oregon side of the river because the season was not open yet...not just hundreds but thousands of them, honking away , probably laughing at us freezing our butts off in the fog and snow less than 500 yds away
Yup thats the general area about two exits up off the interstateI heard almost the same story from a friend who was hunting with his buddy who normally is fishing in Alaska....love that area. My best friend and his wife are both teachers in Weiser. I go visit a few times a year.
