New to dog training arena and have question about AKC/UKC hunt tests?

I am noticing both AKC and UKC hunt tests that are within my area to sign up for. I have read both rule books but have not came up with a solid answer. My question is---Can a person register a dog with both AKC and UKC and run in both? Is it normal to do that or stay with just one registry? Hope I phrased my question right.

Great thanks in advance for taking the time to read this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Run both, enjoy both and don't listen to the narrow mind zelots on either side!

Yes, you can register and run both. We do and have a great time doing it! You can also register and run in Canada with the CKC.

Have a good time.....look up Margo Ellis and the clubs in your area.

As others mentioned you can register and run in both UKC & AKC events. As an amateur trainer/handler I'm glad I decided to run in both venues because they offer slightly different experiences (ie setups and gun handling) which have been beneficial in training to the next level.
