My pup is currently at the trainer and will not be back from his 8 months until Sept. 1st. How many launchers do you recommend that I have to start off with?

Due to limited funds, I bought 2, 2 shooter bumper boys and that helped out great. Can't afford wingers.
It all depends on what level you want to train to and if you have any help to throw bumpers or birds and how much money you have to spend. I have two labs that I train 5 or 6 days a week and I started with two derby doubles and one four shooter. Bought them used on the classified page here.

Is the dog eight months old or will have been at the trainer for eight months? If the latter, then three launchers.

At the trainer for 8 Months, he will be a little over a year on the 1st of September.
