are chasing the early Geese? We have been chasing early honkers since the 15th of this month. They have been a challenge to pattern with this nice weather but we are still having fun.

Below is picture of our last hunt, my 8yr. old daughter was able to harvest her first goose! She smacked it with her first shot out of her 20 gauge at 20 yards feet down!

waterfowl season opens in Idaho on Oct 2 in the majority of the state...I plan on being in a layout blind on Oct 4 -7, might be wearing shorts and short sleeves and sporting suntan lotion but I'm hunting...

Great pics seeing kids out hunting...

What a great picture. Her face says it all!

Thank you all for the kind words, and yes I will put that pic on the wall! Kennedy, Karson (my 3yr. old son) and I went out this morning and Kennedy was able to get her first limit of honkers!! Had a check from the local game warden and he offered to snap a picture of all three of us since I forgot the tripod. Then I had to get a pic of Kennedy with Cruz and the birds.

Good luck to all of you this season!

Travis,

That's tremendous to be able to have that experience with your kids!

To me, that's worth more than almost anything - forget the Grand or anything else. I bet she can't get anywhere close to that excitement with Wii or the Internet!!

Congratulations and enjoy your goose season. Around here (Florida), we have a better chance of whacking one with a 5 iron than a shotgun...

With a 15 goose limit here in NC you can bet I am gonna be after them. I wish my son was a little bit older so I can have the experience you did the other day but that day will soon come and go for me just like it did my dad and his too.
