I am currently looking at purchasing a 3 year female lab that is nfc sired and afc dam. She is at the senior hunter level. But she has fair hips due to being cow hocked for being left in the kennel to long? Want to breed her to a good sire and keep some pups would like your thoughts?

My thoughts are she is not fair hipped from being cow-hocked and left in the kennel too long.

That's a BS story someone is telling you.

As far as being fair rated, what are the ratings of her siblings and sire and dam?

A "bad" x-ray can make good hips look bad. So maybe reshooting a set of x-rays would be in order?

If her sire/dam/siblings all have good hips, then I'd take the risk and reshoot the x-rays.

I would agree with WRL. With that baloney in mind, how do you know she is at the senior level-have you seen her perform? What are her other clearances including EIC, elbows, CNM? I bet there is more to the reason to sell her. Research.
