It is with a heavy heart this message is typed.
The Retriever World lost a great man but his memories will live on for eternity.
I don't know of any man that was gentle, as this giant of a man with the very deep voice my, friend Joe.
Joe loved his family and of course the apple of his eye Gretchen.
He loved the the Retriever Game as much as anybody and gave back to our sport as much if not more than anyone I know.
Joe Augustyn was a gentlemen first and also a competitor. In that order. He always had such an awesome outlook on life and knew no strangers.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Gretchen and the rest of the family during this time.
I will miss you my friend,
