Yes, another useless poll--but fun.

I have many, none magic! My go to call is a cheap Haydell.

I was fortunate to collect a few vintage calls via garage sale. I think my best collector calls are Earl Dennison and a few Iverson's Also have a hodge podge of others. Haven't counted, but would guess more that 100.

Ken-- one day I will make a poll suited for you.:D In the mean time, I use three mallard calls in the swamp-- a Haydell double reed, a Primos wench, and a single reed Iverson. Also on the lanyard is a speck and honker call for geese.

Got an overflowing shoe box in my closet, my 5 year old had commadeerd a few and my 9 month old has 3 in his bed. Got both my grand pa's and an uncles after they died. Got no idea how many I have. I bring 4 and use 2...... Wife says she doesn't have as many shoes.

Over 100 P.S. Olt D-2's (and growing, gee thanks ebay). Plus numerous other Olt calls and a whole passal load of other wood and acrylic calls.

I hunt with a Kirk McCullough modified Olt, KillerKallz Acrylic, Jimbo Ronquest tuned RNT Timbre, and a old school Duck Commander whistle.

LOL- I'm in the minority. Just starting out and only have one (and a cheap one at that- I actually am a little embarrassed). And to make it worse, nobody has shown me how to *really* use it. I mean, at hunt tests and during training, when blowing on a call it certainly doesn't seem to make a difference whether or not you actually sound like a duck. ;). Just listen to the sounds on a BB or the like!

One of these days, I'll be out on a hunt in person rather than living vicariously through all of the great stories here! Heck, I have 2 dozen decoys and a bunch of other equipment just waiting to be used!

Probably 30 or more, but only use 3-4 consistently when hunting. Not in a position to get an accurate count right now (stuck in AFG) and no way am I going to have my wife start digging through my hunting stuff.:)

2 for hunting DD & Echo. Got rid of the ones - well except the Haydel, also OK - that I couldn't make a decent basic call with. A couple more for HT's/training. Plus a drake whistle and a pile of Goose calls that I can't make work at all... I just can't figure out the short reed thing...

I have a Wood Duck call (or 2?), but haven't used them in years. The only time I clearly called a Wood duck was swimming... landed way out and swam toward me.

Keith is a big fan of Wendell Carlson's old audiocassettes.

Keith, it makes me feel old to know that we have adult waterfowlers on RTF that may have never heard an audiocassette!

Hmmm.

4 goose calls, 5 duck calls, 2 whistles, 2 wood duck calls...for now.:D;)

On my lanyard, I keep a Cold Front Calls goose call, Allen Bliven duck call, and Kelly's Kalls shotshell whistle and woodie kall.

They don't know what they're missing! ;-)

60 min tape with 2 min of instruction and 58 of B'n & Whine'n. Never could master those call's either. (Gave it away to a young fellow on RTF. Never heard from him.)

I have an old tape of Paul Kingon (sp?). I love it. "Loud calling doesn't scare ducks. BAD CALLING scares ducks... HEY, HEY, HEY, Hey, hey..." Tape player in the Sequoia still worked the last time I tried...

I have 3, one good call, one cheap call, and one cheapest call. Can't blow any of them worth a darn, so they pretty much stay in the bag unless I am alone.
The dog even cringes if I try to blopw one:rolleyes:

"Straight Talk About Duck Calling" "The Art/Science of Call Operation" there was actually 10 minutes of duck calling on those!

Gotta love "The 9 Mandatories"
