This past weekend Kona participated in his first SH tests at the Treasure Coast Retriever Club. Due to my relocation to Pittsburgh, I was unable to attend but he was in the best hands possible with his trainer Jill Volsch of Morningside Retrievers. I am happy to say he went 2 for 2. Thanks to Scott Parker and Sarah Wonnell I was able to get some great updates about his testing. Chelsey ( Chelsey's Triple H) was good enough to take some pictures and video all of his work for me so I can see. To say I am thrilled, is beyond words. I know it's just SH work but he has really blossomed in Jill's hands. If anyone ever needs a trainer, I can not stress enough how good she is. One of my favorites moments of his weekend was the land series blind on Saturday. There was a fallen palm tree in the line of the blind. Kona was the only dog to jump the tree on the way out and back in from the blind. The look on his face when Jill gave him his cast over the tree is priceless but the fact that he took it shows me his trust and respect for her. GO JILL
Congratulations to everyone that received passes this weekend. I heard the wind was vicious and NONE of the tests were gimmees. I even believe there were some new titles handed out but I will let those people brag on their own
. Big thank you to the TCRCfor hosting the test.
