EdA,

If you don't like the thread then don't comment. I don't think anybody specifically asked for your opinion.

This thread had me going for a second........I really thought we were talking about whiny dogs not people!!!:rolleyes:

I do know a couple of things though:

1st - If you do end up with a dog who has a noise issue Randy Bohn is the man you need to talk to.

2nd - If I post a question on here, one person I would want to reply is EdA.

Still don't know why I didn't breed to Cosmo when I had the chance.
Think "Dare To Dream" X "Chasin A Dream" would have produced a "dream" litter. ;-)

I have a Painter major motion daughter to a cosmo daughter she is a quiet dog!! :) Until she goes for a period of time with out birds. In the house she is always quiet. I think a lot of it can be controlled. Like with her she needs birds often and as a field bred lab, that is obviously to be expected. I do think they can learn from others to be barkers.

Big difference between whining and a dog that will yip or bark at the line.

I've hunted with a few dogs that were as quiet as a church mouse at a Field Trial. Yet, put them in a duck/goose blind and they constantly whine when they aren't working.

Did we just call Ed a legend? Geez, how old his he....?/Paul
Dr. Ed is far from a legend and older than he wishes but glad he is here and healthy......and hopes to be around a lot longer

Lanse Is A Legend.......I am just someone who has been around awhile and is fortunate to have shared my space with some great dogs and great people

Sorry bud I'm not like you, I don't run away from my opinion! There is no reason for anybody, even somebody you people consider to be a "legend". to make light of somebody's issue, when said "legend" could just click past the thread and not comment!
And in which way does your post address "somebody's issue"?
If you bother to look back through the thread you might notice that Ed Aycock DVM (Trumark Labradors) was the first poster in this thread to actually hint at the source of the problem. (you just need to learn to keep up with what is being said boy) EdA's response that seems to have so mightily offended you was in direct response to what someone else asked.
BTW, this site does have a very pretty moderator who's job it is to do what you seem to think you need to take upon yourself.

Get used to it. That is the culture of RTF to make commentary on commentary or GDG a thread. For some perverse reason we love it.

Those who are uptight, easily offended, or lacking a sense of humor will probably not enjoy RTF IMHO!

Wow. Quizz came in guns a blazin', huh?

Welcome to RTF, Quizz. It might serve you better to just sit back an listen for a while and get the lay of the land before you start blasting. There's lots to learn here and a lot of great people to meet. I can guarantee that you will benefit from frequenting this site if you take the time to figure out how to seperate the wheat from the chaff. Just a suggestion.
Or to quote Sgt. Hulka, "lighten up, Francis".

I'm the short moderator, so I assume Vicky is the pretty one ;)

I'm pretty darn sure Dr. Ed don't need us moderators to jump in the middle of this.....he's a big boy who can take care of himself....

Besides it looks like the RTFers are welcoming quizz just fine ;) self moderation is a wonderful thing....

The legend we speak of in this case is Dr. Ed. His experience in the DVM field has personnally helped myself and numerous other people, when our local vets were having a hard diagonosing a specific problem. His advise and medical expertise helped me save money and with my vet helped solve a serious problem. You might want to tone down your Opinion or hard charging attitude. You will one day need a vets help or medical experience. You had better hope Dr. Ed will still have the patience for you and offer some incredible advice to save your best hunting buddy. Just saying. A burnt bridge is hard for many to cross back over......
