Hi all,
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a good trainer within a couple hour drive from NYC? I would like to get my dogs titled and really do not have the resources to do it where I live. Any info would help.
Thank you

PS: looking to do this in HRC and/or AKC hunt tests.

NO traffic takes me an hour and 35 minutes to the GWB. Shaking out the training group for reliable members. We can shoot flyers, FT or HT setups on land and water .PM if interested....

I trained with John last summer and I learned a TON in one morning session. He is a top shelf guy and makes a mean venison ham sandwich.

My bud with a Drake pup is going to do some training with Ted. He comes highly regarded.

My Lean Mac x Bramble pup is doing FT training with Rick/Bev Millheim in Oxford, NY. Renegade Retrievers.

Rick and Bev Milhiem in upstate NY. They train for both field trials and hunt tests.

But you do not have the water that there is to train with in New England
Train, don't complain. Long Island is surrounded by water. You can't find water? And there are numerous ponds and streams. Just look for it. Seek and you shall find.

Buck Shope of Swift River Retrievers in MA. He has a great program. I have witnessed his successes for 4 years and never tire of watching him brings new dogs along in his program. I have learned a great deal from him. He spends lots of time with his clients and has enormous patience to work with and educate owner/handlers.
